It gets really expensive if you roll them out of a 747 and on to the ground. Stansted is one of only a couple of UK airports that could actually deal with the kit required to unload them from a 747 with causing structural damage to the aircraft.

Have you actually bothered to read this thread? If you had you wouldn’t need to ask this question.

On page 1 there is mention of how they were transported, not once but twice, by Mike and Norville!

I find it strange that the support equipment was, presumably, offloaded at Boscombe without a means of getting items to the display aircraft. What will be their plan if an engine needs replacing ( bring a C130 back or hire a truck?). Could be a long journey if needed "up North".

a truck would be fine, the reds don't have a C130 any more.

Has anybody actually seen a list of the Black Eagles European tours dates ? The first press release mentions going to other events after Farnborough.
Question is would the T50's come back to Boscombe to be dismantled and roaded out to Stansted. Guess the ground crew / equipment will required collecting or moving at some stage.

Just to add to this thread, M25 northern section heading westbound (to Boscombe I guess) were six trailers, three had a fighter jet on each in dark green purpose made bags, while the next two had what appeared to be a pair of engines on each in dedicated cases, while the sixth truck had maybe a tail or two ! Time around 1230pm on Wednesday 15th. I was going the opposite way to Stansted !

Excellent 10 minute display today (low due to cloud base) much tighter formation than last time they were here.
Mig 15 was very nice to see and an awesome display by the special scheme Typhoon.
Roll on tomorrow again !

Slightly different display by the 'Eagles' including a high loop as weather was very good but only a 5 minute taster.
As known
'Reds' are only performing with a 7 ship for this season as 2 of the team have left.
