Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
Not really as much of your guesswork isn't accurate. With the exception of the NavyWings Wasp and Harvard, almost everything is staging via Exeter at various points in support of the English Riviera Airshow. NavyWings will be operating from Yeovilton, but the Wildcat will be at Exeter.
However with Midlands, Duxford and Old Warden all taking place the same weekend you may find not everything is overnighting.

Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
Technically speaking, can the typhoons fly to location and display immediately or do they have to land in-between?
Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
Sorry to be thick, will the D-Day memorial flight still go ahead or are they, too, grounded?
Also, what could potentially fill for the BBMF?

Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
No, the civilian warbirds (Now Blenheim, Spitfire PRXI and P-51D Mustang) are not grounded.
As for 'filling for the BBMF' the organisers have said they are look for other acts but it really depends on what is available. It is proving to be a very busy weekend on the calendar.

Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
Night fright the DC3 due to display will not be performing as it has not finished its restoration in time the mustang and spitfire should still be going ahead.
Fury and catalina can be added to the above civilian warbird list as well.

Re: Torbay Airshow 2024
Sea King now both days. (operating from Chard). Unfortunately the Jet Provost is another cancellation.
NavyWings mounting a formation of Wasp, Reliant and Black Cats Wildcat.
For cat1, VL is Yeovilton.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/Eg6PSUTUDfDJWG2d/Catalina Miss Pick Up is scheduled to depart Duxford this morning for Exeter where she will be based for the seaside English Riviera Airshow at Torbay. Follow her progress at https://maps.findmespot.com/s/5D6L Meanwhile, despite the occasionally rather miserable weather yesterday, she flew a training sortie and a practice display at her Duxford home base. Photos by me (David Legg) show her waiting patiently to get airborne and pilot Jeff Boyling's (Left) Type Rating renewal flight with Chief Pilot Paul Warren Wilson in the left-hand seat.
