The only squadron left at Volkel Air Base flying the F-16 Fighting Falcon is the no 312 Squadron. This unit is also known as Bonzo and has a French Bulldog as its mascote. Bonzo was the name of the dog of Major Flinterman. He was the first commander of the 1st Tactical Fighter Group, of which the no 311 and no 312 Squadron were part in 1952. The 312 Squadron is the last Dutch F-16 unit. The rest is already or disbanded or converted to the F-35A Lightning II.

Great video, sad to see the Dutch F16's going. I don't dislike the F35,but it's not pretty like the falcon.

I fully agree on this one. The Falcon is much more beautiful than the Lightning II!!!
