Gary's Aviation patches

Post by Gary » Tue Sep 16, 2014 12:28 am

Might as well start my own thread in this section  feel free for everyone to do the same.

Here's my haul for Kleine Brogel, could have got loads more but only took limited Euros :( The majority of the squadrons present had stalls so you see my quandary

Home team 'BAF' (various)

French

The Rafale & Mirage shaped Ramex Delta patches are rubber :thumb:

NATO E-3A Component

The Aircrew Evaluator is a rubber patch

Greek (F-16)

Netherlands (F-16)

Norwegian (P-3)

Apparently the Saints patch glows in the dark, it was the closest patch they had to the patch the aircrew were wearing. Which is only for aircrew.

Danish (F-16)

Portuguese (F-16)

Another rubber patch

Also got some challenge coins, haven't got any photos yet.

Already looking at Sanicole airshow 2015

Nice stuff Gary - you did well at Kleine Brogel... cool stuff! You can't compare Kleine Brogel with Sanicole... the latter is a small civilian airfield and I seriously doubt you'll see a similar flying display there and there won't be as many people and less stalls, too.
Cheers

Thanks Andy

I guessed it would be a smaller show, do some of the squadrons bring memorabilia? Should definitely be doing Florennes Airshow if it happens is 2016

Difficult to say.. I would assume that some of the Belgian and maybe Dutch units would bring in memorabilia but that's only a wild guess. Usually during the Sanicole air show, the fast jets fly from nearby Kleine Brogel as they can't land or take-off from Sanicole at all.

Florennes may be your better option... but maybe somebody here on the forum who attended the Sanicole show last year or the year before can shed some light into this.

Cheers

Andy

The 736NAS patch is the aircrew version, I can get you a mechanics version if you would like one?

Dan

You can get the 736 Nas patch from EBay, they are smaller the usual one but it's damn cool :thumb: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/flatman100/m. ... 2749.l2654

Which 40 Sqn patches did you get? Kokslijde was the first foreign base I went to so have a soft spot for 40 Sqn
