Sayonara Phantom by Edwin Schimmel PRE-ORDER NOW FOR € 49,95

For over 45 years the Japanese Air Self Defense Force flew with the beloved F-4 Phantom. 140 F-4EJ Phantoms flew within 7 Squadrons in the air defence and ground attack role and lateron 14 RF-4E Phantoms were purchased for photo reconnaissance missions.
In 2020 the two last Japanese F-4 Squadrons, flying from Hyakuri Air Base near Tokyo, will retire their Phantoms. This book covers some of the final flights of the F-4EJ's from 301 Tactical Fighter Squadron and the RF-4E(J)'s from 501 Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron.

Sayonara Phantom does not only gives you beautiful pictures of the F-4's made during the Hyakuri Air Festival in 2019 and some 'normal' flying days, but also gives you a lot of information about the introduction of the F-4 in Japan, tasks and weaponary and the Squadrons history.

Pre-order this book now (A4, over pages, hardcover) for € 49,95 (excluding shipping costs) by sending an e-mail to e.schimmel@live.nl or going to https://www.final-approach.nl/book

Yes I am, the F-4EJ(-Kai) was flown by 301, 302, 303, 304, 305 and 306 Hikotai (and several with the Air Development and Test Wing, but this isn't a frontline squadron).

You appear to have forgotten about 8 Hikotai, who flew the F-4EJ Kai for ten years.

Yes, you are right, how could I forget those beautiful blue F-4's from the 8th, thanks for correcting! (good thing the book hasn't been printed yet and I can still make the adjustment :thumb: )

Perhaps you should let p6025 proof read your manuscript before you go to print ?

Thanks for your suggestion David, not sure if p6025 is up for that though. But the photobook is mainly about the F-4EJ-Kai's from 301 and the RF-4E(-J)-Kai's from 501 and got that covered!
