An impressive piece of research you've shared with us, thank you. It's clarified the existence of the 856th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron that I was never too sure really existed. The USAFE news pages of the time referred to that unit's helicopters carrying classified hardware as part of their base security role, a little different to CSAR!
