Devon D-Day Around on the 6th

Heard there is a fly over of a handful of vintage aircraft to include Chivenor? Not sure if correct but sounds authentic

Hi there , Saw the loose 6 ship "formation" just after 11am , only managed to read 1 serial off :- XR241/G-AXRR , another was coded "N" & the leader was just calling G-??NT . Anyone any ideas of the IDs of the rest ?

Sorry I don't collect serials but saw them fly over Saunton/Braunton training areas. Quite a nice site!

2 Cubs 3 Austers and another not sure what it was.

Probably, almost certainly operating out of the Auster Nest at Eggesford. Amongst many others the following are based. G-AXRR / XR241 AOP9.. G-ARIH / TW591 "N" Auster 6.. G-FINT / 3583 Cub..

The cubs/Austers were for D Day celibrations on or about Saunton beach . On sunday 7th at just after 1900 several of these escouted microlights into Chiv from Eggesford . They microlights had started from Kemble and night stopped at Chiv . No idents noted as they came in from the south onto disused runway 30 and stayed over by the river . Can anyone help with idents for both days please ?? Chrisj
