Re: An-225
This is not being elitest, it's trying to still have somewhere for regulars long after the event to still be able to park up and get photos of arrivals and departures. Can anyone making the journey please park sensibly as one spot is on a main road with fast moving traffic coming over a blind crest.
Many thanks

Re: An-225
It will make a pleasant change from finding nobody there

Seriously I'm guessing that the small number of "available spaces" will quickly be filled up and have made alternative arrangements.
I still expect a degree of chaos, and sadly some people who just don't know how things usually work at the end of the runway at Brize will park where they shouldn't i.e. no parking in the entrance to the industrial estate.
As Goldstar31 says however people do need to beware because of the old bridge.
It will blow over though, and quickly settle back down to the usual pattern of the odd enthusiast and a whole load of tumbleweed.

Hi All,
Just a note of warning to say that a mate of mine almost got a parking ticket a few weeks ago whilst parked in the Britannia Gate entrance. I've never had a problem but I mainly visit evenings or weekends, he was there during a week day.

Re: An-225
It's a shame the field entrance opposite the industrial site entrance is no longer available or out of bounds.
You could park out of the way in there and still be well away from the actual field 'proper'. Although it can get a bit boggy at times.

Re: An-225
There do seem to be sites suggesting is today:

But as slogen51 says I can't see any evidence to confirm this....

Re: An-225
Kiev to London is only listed as taking about 3.5 hours so it could be a little early yet.
Re: An-225
I would say if it was a delay it's probably a straight 24 hours. Meaning a 1700L arrival today.
Re: An-225
Further to this Athens are reporting a 24 hour delay at their location, further suggests a 1700L arrival at Brize too.

Re: An-225
Looking at:
https://www.facebook.com/an225
It appears it might be correct, though they are suggesting both a 124 and the 225 arriving within 30 mins of each other.
