Best view is probably from the eastern end threshold , but there is restricted parking there .
unimpeded view is probably from the Brampton- witney road from the eastern end of the runway head south over the old railway bridge and carry on until you come to the left turn sign posted to witney the road rise up a hill carry on until you come to some farm buildings on the right park up in layby .
from here you have distant but uninpeeded view of the main ramp Il78 and the herc are together in front of the terminal the C-17 is over to the right where the RAF C-17s park.

Does anyone know if they are departing Monday or staying longer please?
I guess quite a few people are wondering the same!
Cheers
