A400 serial help

Post by Tiger 1 » Wed Sep 27, 2023 11:36 am

Hi everyone

Called in Brize yesterday afternoon to get the Italian Avanti and my last A400...ZM420.

There were 6 x A400s on station that I could see...413 was Infront of the hangar near the main road.

3 more were on the main ramp tail on and not readable...a further two were down the bottom left hand corner of the airfield.

408 came in and taxi'd down and past these two.

If anyone could kindly tie these up, it would be very much appreciated.

ZM405 and ZM407 are parked near the sewage works. (Minus various engines)
Assume this is the Southwest corner you refer to?

Hi Mightybees

Many thanks for the confirmation of the two at the sewage works...really appreciate it.

My quest for ZM420 continues.

Wasn't ZM420 the one that displayed at RIAT 2018?

The Airframe was @ Fairford in 2019 registered to Airbus as EC 400 ( said to become ZM 420 ) I seem to recall that ZM 420 was not delivered to the RAF until late last year and is said to be back with Airbus at the moment.
I have seen it flying many times but have yet to read it off.
Seems we might have to wait a while for it to re-appear Tiger 1
Hope that helps.
Regards,
razzer56.

Razzer 56...many thanks for your help and the confirmation...looks like we will indeed be waiting a while longer to read it off.

Regards.
