B52 x 2 heading down the Daventry corridor at 06.10 followed by a second pair at 06.15. Not a bad wake up call!

To be fair TORE54 was the only one that showed up for me on ADS-B exchange and that was once it had already entered the circuit. I was in bed too but that distinct sound went over and I went straight to the window, luckily I had clothes on!

It would seem they caught everyone by surprise this morning. A very nice surprise at that.

You mean 6 large aircraft made it halfway across the world without a rumour, heads up, or radio log on FC?

Inbound sqwk codes were 2744 and 3744.
These could he used in future to track via PP's VPRN as once here the B52s very often fly sorties Mode A/C only.
2744 was the transit code , 3744 a standard Brize SSR

Nice surprise indeed.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Judging by the NOTAM at the top of the thread unless there is a U2 sortie today the airfield will be open for movements until this evening.
