Bollo, not on this thread and you just posted the link from the Aviationist for the second time in this thread?
Re: B-52 General chat!
Do we know when the B52s will be leaving Fairford to return home?

Suggest you read back through this thread (ignoring the first few posts!)

Re: B-52 General chat!
I know some have been frustrated at the lack of activity but for me it has been a fascinating deployment. They arrive pretty much un-announced, and have done some interesting - and historic - sorties (e.g. Ukraine, Morocco), and the Minot crews do love their 'fighting wing' and singleton run + breaks (even after their latest 12 hour sojourn to Cyprus). Its also lasted quite a lot longer than any of us would have anticipated.
And to cap it all there are rumours of an impending B1 deployment to Fairford...
PS Thanks to the mods for setting this thread up. Keeps all this stuff clear of the tracking notes, and gives us an opportunity to vent, speculate etc.

agree...just 'being there' is good enough for me, I'm just happy watching them grazing and chewing the cud during this unexpected Indian summer we're having... ... as I'm here on FC, guess it's only polite to follow the trend and 'moan' about something churlish & trivial ...urm ? would have liked to seen more 'touch-and-go's'wessexspotter wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 10:17 amI know some have been frustrated at the lack of activity but for me it has been a fascinating deployment. When they start their engines and plug Minot AFB into their Nav System

I’s say it’s been pretty good, more flying days than not and I’m just glad I bagged three of them on a bank holiday. Bring on the bones!
