Taking a northerly route for GODOS today , he usually cuts across to Norwich but presently in the Birmingham area
They usually turn east over Worcester, but occasionally carry on up north of Birmingham.
Having tracked and recorded every U2 flight in and out of UK airspace since May 2020 you'd be surprised how much variation there is in their routing.
As part of the PlanePlotter Mode A/C working group I have undertaken the task of creating .gpx files of the departures, returns and descent points of all U-2 missions (and swaps KBAB/LCRA) during 2021.

Currently the routings total 39 variations. The majority of these variations are BALTOPS missions, numerous exit points on the east coast, with less variation to the return profiles. Plus NOROPS and Odessa Express missions all recorded. Not missed any.

I don't want to take credit for all of this info as the working group is a team and provide pertinent information that makes all of this research possible.

Paul our spreadsheet logger has amassed more than 300 records pertaining to U-2 Mode A squawks alone. Plus Fairford deployed B-1, B-2 and B-52 assets. F-35/F-15 all modes (M1/2/3/A/C).

PlanePlotter VPRN is an amazing piece of software and can be configured/customised in so many ways. Cutting edge - and I don't say that lightly.
