Will the building works be completed in time for the introduction of the B-21!

Fairford is bound to be one of the bases to receive B-21 deployments ?

I would imagine B-21's will be deployed to Fairford in the future the new hangars seem the right size to be able to fit them in.

The upgrade in facilities is so Fairford can accommodate a permanent forward deployed presence of bomber aircraft. Similar to the recent deployments by fighters to Europe SJ Eagles and AK Raptors etc.

The current B-2 hangars would be OK for the B-21 given that its smaller than a B-2 so will fit.

Would imagine the new hangars are primarily for the Buffs seeing as they will be around for many more years!

As I said in the deleted thread the primary reason for the new hangars can be found if you google ACP-2021-078.
There should be plenty of space for other uses though.
Should be an interesting time from spring 2023
