Notam 3rd November 2016

Post by Mikepaparomeo » Wed Nov 02, 2016 9:06 pm

Although mentioned on a general topic thread I thought worth posting up tomorrow's NOTAM:

U3642/16 - AD AND RWY 09/27 OPEN. AVAILABLE FOR SCHEDULED MOVEMENTS ONLY. 03 NOV 06:30 2016
UNTIL 03 NOV 15:00 2016. CREATED: 02 NOV 13:56 2016

Possible candidate Eastbound at the present time AE0962.

Also the Brize plane spotters face book is saying Dragon31 is 68-10336 for Thursday lunchtime.

Is Dragon 31 a West bound in which case the serial could be wrong as I can't see it going east this year?

Time will tell.

It didn't Mike. It went East on 22/10/2015.

However, the Facebook spotters may be saying that purely because it is the "oldest" one out there. They have been wrong before (several times).

DRAGON53 Out of Fairford @ 07:12 - unsure of serial as was not close enough to the field and not picking up ADSB.

Argh. My notifications for new posts on the Fairford hasn't been working for some reason and missed the U2's coming in :grr: I only looked as I thought I heard something leave about 30 mins ago...

Are there any more due in or out today?

Thanks.

Off to find out why notifications aren't working...

Wondering whether next is in or out. We have had more arrivals than departures so far, but departures have tended to be a.m in the past.

So with the end of BST, what time does that mean for us now?

I would guess that Westbound '086 has gone "tech" and won't be departing today.

Presumably this was why the old NOTAM was taken down and a new one issued to cover the arrival of "DRAGON31" (callsign assumed).

Was one over Crete earlier as 31 heading north so there's a good chance you are right Bob

The info is from a text a mate sent me and it was a radio report so no hex I'm afraid mate.

No problem. It might have given us a guess as to which one was coming back.
