Long shot guys but does anyone know if there will be flying every day?
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

I'm over Heacham way next week is there a possibility of seeing the bombers OTT or do they not head over that way during sorties/training?

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris - I take it you mean Heacham in Norfolk? I don’t know of another Heacham it has to be said.

The majority of sorties this week (minus Thursdays trip to the Holbeach range) have taken them in to Europe / Scandinavia. They have routed up the Daventry Corridor to waypoint MAM (Marham) then made a right turn towards NAVPI (sort of east of Great Yarmouth mid-point of the North Sea) taking them directly OTT Norwich and Great Yarmouth - they have been doing the same in reverse. So not OTT Heacham but if you were to be in the vicinity of MAM (not too far away) you would see them if the weather is clear - they are in the ascent/descent at around 10,000 ft at that point.

Update - Fridays flights have taken them MAM-MC9 which has taken them towards EA1 waypoint which is Coltishall. So North of the flights earlier in the week.

I hope that helps.

Ben

Hi

Please can someone repeat which day the exercise finishes - it must be on here somewhere but I can't find the date.

I had heard Friday the 29th of March?

I don't believe an end date has been given yet.

I don't think an end date has been mentioned anywhere, during the press briefing the question was asked but a definitive answer was not forthcoming, I'm sure someone will know though.

Not unless first crew rotation is 5th April.

Where did the information come from about a date?

Does it still look like a crew rotation this weekend? If so, does that mean a transport of some sort?
