last transmission said Head 330 exactly as I posted one above your message - he is in the general area of "wales"

Yeah thanks! not everyone knows exactly where head 330 means, as far as I know it could be anywhere! all I would like to know is which direction to Fairford, from the North? or West?

Yes it's hard without a ping.

Latest comms have it going into a 70 miles orbit at current position ( no idea - best guess "over Wales" )

330 degrees, 360 degrees on a compass with North being 0, East being 90, South being 180, West being 270. So he’s more or less heading North.

Comms I hear having them going North on a Heading of 360, not on a Heading of zero.

360 and 0 are the same thing. No need to be so pedantic

Iceland - Keflavik I would think
I think they went further afield than Iceland, as they went out with at least 5 tankers last night, maybe around the North Pole. Change in call sign could be a tactic to cause confusion to anyone listening in/tracking them?

Nighthawke - I suggest that you really do not want to go there, have you heard of a runway 287 for example, it might be the actual inbound heading of the runway rather than it being rounded up or down and designated as runway 28 or 29.

I meant 00 instead of 36. Fully familiar with designations.
