Look out for B-1's undertaking hot refuelling when they next visit.

what I want is a night launch of a B1!

Saw my first B1 launch in daylight last year, but after dark it must be mindblowing!

I have been there a few times waiting for a might launch ... sadly they didn't.
I do agree Scudpilot, a night launch would be great.

not as mindblowing as a B1 coming straight over the top of you at 600 knots and doing a barrel role

An SR-71 night take-off was something else!! During rotation, flames running along the runway for about the length of the aircraft itself (and that is not including the length of exhaust nozzle to runway). :Wow: :Wow:

No pics I'm afraid: (a) not into photography and (b) it woke me up in the very old spotters "car park".

Seeing armed B1s & B52s departing in the dark heading for the Balkans was pretty awesome!

Would have thought some transports would have been in by now though?
