Movements at Rhymes Crash Gate

In the hope that it might help folks here - or prevent a nasty accident - Rhymes crash gate layby is currently covered in dog muck! I spoke to a local chap there today and he said that the hounds gets walked that way now, and the pull-in is where they take a comfort break. I managed to get a ladder up without any accidents but despite doing a minefield walk, I still managed to step in some. It stinks too!

I know it's not aircraft-related, but it is related to Fairford movements, so if you drive over there, take care as soon as you open your car door.

I guess most of you know, but "the hounds" are the local hunt, so we aren't talking about just the odd doggie - it's a whole coach-load all together, at least once a day. I think a word to the council might be in order...

Having visited today (2nd) I can confirm that it's tad grim and very smelly, looks like someone has dumped a bag of dump there, not pleasant at all.. :@

Cotswold district council operate a reporting system for dog fouling. If anyone who saw it would like to report it? This is a link to an online form:-
https://forms.cotswold.gov.uk/eforms/uf ... 5309945093
Edit is that the right District Council for the area? if Not, all councils operate a similar system as required by law.

Complaint submitted: I'll await a reply and hopefully some action to clear it up. Good luck to the poor soul/s who have to do it.

Nice one. I'm hoping that it's some kind of one-off (unlikely, given the amount) and won't happen again. I'll be over there this week I expect - I doubt anything will happen quickly but will report back if there are signs of improvement. I do hope so because it's a nice place to mooch around at and the Bomb Dump area already smells of wee-wee. :thumb:

Bring in the water-cannon, I'm sure the base have a suitable crash wagon. Perhaps they could time it to take out the dog-handlers?
