Currently scheduled for 2/3/22 according to 48FW link i'd seen. On a side note am I right in thinking 19-5474 still hasn't flown since arriving, and the other 3 all have?
Hi

19-5474 flew twice on Thursday 13/1 or was it Wednesday 12th - the days merge up when you are retired
Lucky you Mike ha ha ;) Yes it was yesterday!

Also was thinking on Batch Part Deux. Do we already have 19-5484,19-5485 & 19-5486 as "confirmed"?
F-16.net has photos of 5484 , 5485 and 5486 all painted and flying as "LN"

Cool! although surprised the next delivery is not contiguous from 5477+ or have they gone somewhere else?

Just assumed the 48FW would be getting the next 16+ F-35A off the line?

looks like only 5493 and 5495 are for LN.

5494 has been photographed at FW as a 355 FS AK, 5492 reported also going to AK.

5496 is for AK and 5497 for WA.. no sign of anymore for LN as yet after 5493 and 5495. These are very close to the end of the USAF Fy19 batch.

Just noticed that they have indeed started on FY20. So 2 more FY19 and then we'll be looking at FY20 LN F35s!

19-5498 to 19-5565 are all for export customers. the USAF batch then continues on from 20-5566.

20-5566 has already flown, that's a HL machine.

You would have thought so. 5493 and 5495 must be pretty much ready for delivery. I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that the aim was to have 495th completed by the end of Q3. Maybe I'm imagining it as I can't see that happening.

Is there an Estimated arrival of the Reapers F35s?
I know their boss bird is on it's way, but what's that going to do after it arrives.
Are the 495th going to use it, until they finish getting up to strength and the 493rd return, then they can have a slightly used aircraft back. Or is it going to sit in the cript waiting for some friends.

There was an article I read somewhere saying that the 493/495 will be a joint ‘super squadron’ initially, probably pooling jets and people until such a time as there are enough to separate the two units. I’ll have a look for the story later when I’m not on my phone.

Here's the quote mentioned above: https://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=86743

"The 495th Sqdn. expects to take on its full complement of aircraft by the fall of 2022. It will balloon to become what McLaughlin describes as a “super squadron,” absorbing aircraft that will be destined for the 493rd. “There is a window of 4-6 months when [the 493rd] ready aircrew, aircraft and maintainers before they get their feet under them and become fully independent,” says Lt. Col. Daniel Connors, commander of Lakenheath’s 748th Aircraft Maintenance Sqdn."
