Re: Possible F-15SA Delivery Flight - No.2
The last 4 digits of the serials were:-
1041 ,1043 and 1045
The last looked like 14-1045 but I guess should be 12-
No wing tanks just a centre line baggage holder?

Turned right off runway 06 so presumably on the south side by the A1065
Re: Possible F-15SA Delivery Flight - No.2
Usual question - does anyone have any indication of departure please?
Many thanks

I thought 1043 & 1045 had 14- fiscal. Unfortunately I didn't think to look on the first one down.slogen51 wrote:The last 4 digits of the serials were:-

Re: Possible F-15SA Delivery Flight - No.2
The first one in my pics is the only one where I can positively read 12-
My photos of 1045 isn't good enough but when I look closely it does look like 12- when you know it should be 12!
Sorry to cause any confusion

Yes thanks that had already been kindly pointed out
I don't see Saudi eagles everyday so wasn't as sure as you obviously are.

Thank you.

Can be seen from A1065 but need to walk a long way across the field from pull in area.

At the left hand end of the ramp, from the left 1045 - 1043 - 1041. 1045 is the first one readable; and then it goes out of view behind a building as the other two become readable. As noted quite a walk across the field from the little pull in, but most worthwhile!
Re: Possible F-15SA Delivery Flight - No.2
Can someone offer a bit of advice for seeing aircraft parked on the visitors ramp please (apologies if this has been posted elsewhere on the FC site - I'm a newbie!). I've been to the viewing area a couple of times and the little area I think is called Forest Gate just down the A1065 towards the F100 before you get go the woods on each side. Which field so you need to walk across to see it and is there anywhere else you can see this ramp (apart from the Warren - my camera is too rubbish to see much from there!). Any advice greatly appreciated as I'm keen to get there more often to see the interesting stuff that calls in, and I will be in the area this weekend so may try and see some Saudi Eagles! Thanks.

From "Forest Gate" (which I assume is the pull-in across the road from the runway threshold?), head back up the main road towards the main gate of the airfield, but before you get there as you come to the end of the gentle bend around the base, there's a dirt track on the left (easily missed so watch out! - It's probably the best part of a mile from the runway threshold). If you get to the main gate you've gone too far!
Once you turn onto the track, it opens out wide enough to park the car without blocking anything, and then the fence next to where you are now parked has a stile that you can use to get in the field - Follow the field along the A1065 and anything on the visitor's ramp will come into view one at a time (Tried and tested last year when the Raptors deployed!). It's a fair walk to the top end of the field but it's the best way to see any visitors.
cheers
Stuart

Scimiitry, I just noticed your comment at the end of the message you posted - The F-15SA's are due at 0600 tomorrow so you'd need to be early!
