Anything likely to be flying this Friday [14th Apr]

Post by CookipediaChef » Thu Apr 13, 2017 10:51 am

I know it's normally pot-luck but will be passing nearby tomorrow and wondered if it would be worth a detour or is it likely to be exceptionally quiet, what with it being a Friday and a Bank Holiday too?

Thanks in advance

Lakenheath observes a policy that when a UK bank holiday no based aircraft do any flying. Can of course still have aircraft using the 'hall.

Strix 27 was flying local flights yesterday.
May the skies be clear and blue and the wind fair with a guiding star to steer by.

Correct, there's a lovely long thread about it in the Heads Up section. Of course, today is Saturday and bears no relevance to this thread.

Yeah! Yaboo Sucks CookipediaChef ..... in future ask the right specific Question ;) Don't go limiting your request to 1 day out of 4!
Even though most comments embraced the 'Bank Holiday' period, you should've asked about more than just Friday. Be warned, take this business more seriously please  :pop:

Why - he was only passing on Friday, not every day of the weekend!

Have to say, not the most polite way to respond

Agree completely, it's this kind of response that puts people off or even encourages them to leave this forum..
If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

Just how many sodding winks do you have to add before somebody realises it is TONGUE IN CHEEK! You pair of 'serious cases' have your righteous heads so far up a dark place you cant see the irony of what I posted.
My comment was a view on the EGVP post above mine, stating the OP. poster ONLY asked about Friday, so the F-35 or any other reference to Saturday was irrelevant. A light-hearted pseudo ticking-off!     x 1000.
I did read he was only passing on the Friday, but one of you/other secret-squirrels could have give him the Nod on the upcoming F-35's. Maybe he could've detoured on Saturday with good intel?.... BUT nobody did tell him eh!
