Where is the F-15B?

I've seen the Spit, F-100 and the other three at the memorial park many times, but never seen an F-15B?

The Spitfire is a replica, last time I saw it, it was marked as BM361 XR C - presumably not been changed?

The final four airworthy F-15C departed back to CONUS as Retro 81-85 also taking the OK F-16C as retro 85

Plus it would appear 84-0001 is now a ground trainer / BDRT

So that should be :-
54 F-15E ( 54 serials but some are on depot maintenance)
0 F-15C
9 F-35A ( 1x 493 FS, 8x 495 FS)

=63 48FW Aircraft

Less
6 F-15E away on depot maintenance
-----------
=57 48FW aircraft on base

Additionally

1 SJ F-15E (89-0505 y )
4 AdlA Rafale C - Gone

Preserved / stored
Plus an F-100D, F-4C, F-111E, F-15A and an F-15B

8/7 another 4 F-35A and 12 F-15E went east to Souda via Aviano

Therefore:-
10 F-35A away in Crete
14 F-15E away in Crete

The 14 Panthers in Crete are ( assuming none came back after I left):-

Maul 11-12 ( departed 7/7/2022)
91-0309 red**
96-0204 no colours **

Claw 11-14 (departed 8/7/2022)
01-2002 red %%
91-0310**
91-0326 no colours %%
91-0314 494FS panther 1 **

Claw 21-24
91-0334 no colours %%
91-0335 no colours**
91-0603 red ( last to depart after a fix for a fuel leak ) ##
00-3001 red **

Claw 31-34
96-0201 mlt '48FW' **
01-2004 red ##
00-3003 red ##
91-0320 red %%

The 10 Valkyries in Crete are :

Departed 7/7/2022
Green 11/12 : 19-5484** and 19-5476##
Thor 15/16 : 19-5485## and 19-5486##
Green 13/14: 19-5495%% and 20-5572##

Departed 8/7/2022
Thor 17/18 : 20-5570** and 20-5573%%
AXE19/20 : 20-5571** and 20-5574**

Leaving 38 active fast jets on base by my reckoning

## RTB Lakenheath 21 July 2022 (4 F-35A and 3 F-15E)
** RTB Lakenheath 22 July 2022 ( 4 F-35A and 7 F-15E). Leaving 6 jets away at 13:00 22/7

%% RTB Lakenheath 25 July 2022 ( 2 F-35A and 4 F-15E). Leaving 0 jets away at 13:00 25/7

I'd imagine the rest of the month will be on the quieter side now. Not sure if the exercise starts Monday or not but I'd imagine it will be for 2-3 weeks.

Edit. Exercise ends on 22nd July.

Paid a visit to Souda today and the F-15/35’s were very active. At least 8 F-15’s and 10 F-35’s were flying, one sortie in morning and another in the afternoon. A couple of local F-16’s were up with them. Nine F-16’s departed en masse but didn’t return after nearly 3hrs, so don’t know where they went.

This mornings 48FW sorties were 10 x F-15 and 8 x F-35. They went back up this afternoon but I’d left the area by then.

Is there a list of all the squadrons tail numbers somewhere?

Thanks

There was rumours on the daily Lakenheath movements post that an F35 flight of 4 was coming back but it didn't materialise. So i'd imagine possibly today/tomorrow.

Looks like a flight of F-15’s are heading back now, just flying over Kefalonia heading NW at FL320. There’s possibly a second flight behind it and a third currently getting airborne(can hear but not see from my location).

All the 'Souda' jets are back

So as far as I know Lakenheath is back to full strength ( apart from the fact that neither the 495th nor the 493rd have anywhere near their full complement of aircraft)

With the arrival of 6 AK F-22A from Elmendorf AFB

Cube 11-16

05-4090 90FS
06-4110 11AF
07-4151
04-4074
10-4193 3 WG last three visible on the lower nose
06-4112

There are now 68 active fast jets on base by my reckoning

54 F-15E ( 54 serials but some are on depot maintenance)
0 F-15C
14 F-35A ( 1x 493 FS, 13 x 495 FS)

=68 48FW Aircraft

Less
6 F-15E away on depot maintenance
-----------
=62 48FW aircraft on base

Additionally
6 AK F-22A

=68 at midnight on 26/07/2022

That's a lot of metal on the deck and given that HASs 50 to 59 on the Yankee loop and at least 15 Parking Spots on Charlie Ramp are shown on recent NOTAMs as being inaccessible due to construction works, where is everything, especially the AK's being parked. Are they doubling up in HASs

Regards

Kip
