I witnessed one of them on a long approach from the east (east of Thurston etc) and then a while later re-appearing from the west...i assumed that it was the same KC10 doing circuits before an eventual full stop.....any idea where there in from?

These would be GOLD 31/32 flight, support for MAZDA 81-84 flight of F-22s that arrived at Lakenheath.
GOLD 32(?) did indeed do several circuits at Mildenhall, not sure why!
