Saw the C32 on approach to Mildenhall and noticed that it has winglets like a lot of modern aircraft. However, the standard B757 does not have winglets, so have the USAF C32's been modified in a MLU or were they built like that?

Thanks for the info guys- very interesting- especially as the 'blended winglets' are a retro-fit and are purely a fuel-saving measure. Cannot conceive of our beloved MoD stumping-up the cost of fitting such a device to any of our aircraft just to save some gas even though it would be a very 'green' thing to do!

Thera are quite a few aircraft operated by the RAF which do heve winglets - C-17, Sentinel, Shadow, and the new A330 tankers have them fitted as well.
