AH-64E Mildenhall March 2022

Post by slogen51 » Sat Mar 19, 2022 10:46 am

10:30 Saturday : took a speculative trip to Mildenhall to see if the two AAC AH-64E are visible from outside.

They are not - the hangar door is only just cracked open.

Hello Slogen, after leaving Lakenheath this afternoon i passed by Mildenhall just in case something was visiting. As i came along towards Beck Row from the town i passed two lorries in convoy both with an AH64 aboard. When i resumed my journey via West Row and Fordham, as i came towards Newmarket from Fordham a lorry with an Apache came out from the Soham by pass direction and then went on to the A14 towards Ipswich around 1600. I am presuming that it was one of the same ex Mildenhall machines but cannot be sure. How many arrived and does anyone have serials please?

Regards

Brian

I heard a traffic report saying there was a slow vehicle and congestion in the Mildenhall area but didn't realize it was these two helicopters on the move.

Get them at Middle Wallop I suppose !
