Qatari F-15QA
Just a quick thank-you to everyone posting update info for the various deliveries so far.
Not sure how complete my notes are but from the 36no. on order and five (?) deliveries so far we have gaps for :
17-001
17-002
17-004
17-005
17-010
Would anyone else be able to advise if these a/c are still at St. Louis or already delivered by another route (Lajes ?)
Perhaps the early ones are retained for training crews or conducting manufacturers trials ?
Thanks and regards,
Paul

17-010 is the one that had a "landing mishap/incident" in May 2021. Probably still buffing the paintwork out on it.

Re: Qatari F-15QA
Thanks Chaps.
The additional details are very welcome
Interesting article and photos for the incident a/c
Looks like it rolled off the runway at relatively low speed, perhaps a brake issue

17-001 and 002 are test birds and will be some of the last ones to deliver. They were indeed at Palmdale in April along with 003 (I was there when they arrived :-) ) 001 and 002 are back in St Louis now.
17-004 and 005 don't exist. They were diverted to the USAF as F-15EX 20-0001 and 20-0002. Expect to see 17-037 and 17-038 to replace them.
17-010 hasn't flown since its mishap.
Regards
Mark
