Am I right in thinking in light of the above, that the designated number of KC135's based at Mildenhall has increased from 15 to 17? Also that the number of MC130J's has gone up to 7 from 6?

More often than not Mildenhall will have 15 135s out of the 17 due to couple being away in the states (on rework) or elsewhere. But you would be correct yes.

Hi guys,
just wondering: don't you consider the RC-135 on long TDY as a based aircraft? According to the crew members I spoke at last July's Air Tattoo the aircraft are part of the local 95th RS and only are replaced by a different jet after so many months, with ground crew and what I gathered flight crew permanently stationed at Mildenhall. Jake17 being the callsign belonging to the 95th RS.

Does anyone know when KC-135T 59-1470 became "High Life". Noted yesterday (16th August) as such.

I believe it was in the same week as the on Base do yesterday. 60-0333 which was high life is due back from Tinker and I think that should have the 'Skipper III' nose art applied

To update the post, 09-5713 MC130J is no longer with the 352SOW and 59-1470 has now become 'High Life' and sports a second nose art on the right side of the Airframe, unveiled yesterday.

It was painted up after the Team Mildenhall Heritage Day on the 16th I believe. It should have hogh life nose arts on both sides now too.

Rumour on the fence yesterday that 00333 came back with AMC on the tail, rather than USAFE. Couldn't find it to check for myself. Should appreciate confirmation.
Also, is it permitted to report aircrew names, as painted under the cockpit? I know that 100 proof has the CO's name and he is on the base webpage but aren't there another couple (of Lt Cols) as well? Can't make them out properly for cross-checking.

Most the time 100th Airframes coming back from Tinker come back unmarked with AMC titles, in theory this should go into Hangars at some point soon to be painted up as 'Skipper III'.

Noted from John's Field 17-Sept parked to the right of the OF machines, still with AMC on the tail and no sign of 100ARW markings
