I use Chalk Lane the odd time I go there (See attached link), only problem is the farmer was ploughing up the fields last week and added to that all the rain has made the field near the runway lights and fence will be a bit muddy. http://www.pb-photos.com/Images/Aviatio ... Theres only two spots to view marham airfield really,and both of them are still a walk to take decent photos of departing or arriving aircraft but both under flight paths.Cant explain to you map,directions etc but naviagte youre way to base and it pretty easy to pick up the spots to park and watch.mainly pull ins of road's at the start of a field.

If its sunny :lol: and there using 24 end could try somewhere near the spot i have marked below. Its a turning off chalk lane.

I've never had a problem using the track, not sure if others have? But you can't see the base from there :lol: So you'll only see them turning/ on finals, but you can get some good shots if they are on short finals and if its sunny.....

the other end of 24 is also good spot for departing aircraft and views of 9sqn hangars and view of back end of the bases maintenance hangar adn VAS. :thumb:

The info was invaluable.
Had a great time at MRM and met some interesting people.
Just don't ask AviationAndy about the special tail
