Binbrook - LTF hangar

Post by NickB » Thu Jan 15, 2015 10:22 am

Hi,

Does anyone know which hangar used to be the LTF hangar? I think it was the Northerly one on the LHS but would like it confirmed.

Thanks,
Nick

Back in 1982 (at the Open Day on 28 August), the hangar allocation was as follows:

Hangar 1 - LTF
Hangar 2 - 5 Sqdn
Hangar 3 - Servicing Hangar
Hangar 4 - 11 Sqdn
Hangar 5 - Store

Hope this helps

From Crash gate 2 or if you are looking from the old Q shed (ahhhhh memories)...

The three at the front were as follows

Left 5 Sqn
Middle LTF
Right 11 Sqn

behind that the ASF was on the left and LESF/Storage was on the right from memory...

Thanks for the replies.

So, just to be clear, the LTF hangar was the one immediately behind the ATC tower (which has since been demolished)?
