A46 Jetstream??

Post by reaper493 » Wed Jun 08, 2022 9:47 pm

Hi all,

I've been told there is an Ex military Jetstream parked off the A46 between Lincoln and Newark. I've travelled this road many times and have never seen anything.

I believe it's ex Navy but could be wrong.

Any info out there?

I did wonder if they meant Syerston, but they originally said between Lincoln and Newark, where as Syerston is south of Newark. Could be on the old RAF Swinderby site as well I guess? Might have to go exploring.

It is civilian, G-JXTA (?) from memory, just a fuselage. There are also a couple of airliner cockpit sections.

Located at Hill Holt Wood farm, if you are heading towards Newark from Lincoln on the A46 after the Swinderby roundabout, take a left on Wood Lane, fuselage is (or was a month ago) easily visible on your right.

Just to confirm having tracked this down today that the J31 G-JXTA (c/n 610) with registration clearly visible is still in situ as per the previous post. As soon as you turn into Wood Lane it’s easily viewable.
