BBMF Dakota?? August 2022

Post by C24 » Fri Aug 19, 2022 7:06 am

🇺🇦 🌻

Currently at Duxford for an 18 month service :S

According to a man in green overalls in hangar 2. He couldn’t explain the reason for a lengthy stay. Perhaps someone with FaceTwitt access could offer information?

No rush ;)

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦

Thanks for your post. Perhaps I should have been more specific with my question. My query is/was , why does it take so long to complete an in depth overhaul?
One man and a dog; lack of money? What is involved, how many man hours? Etc.

More like attention to detail, only to be expected from ARCo. A deep strip down is exactly that, and nobody rushes with old aircraft.

There is significant structural work needed to the airframe, which explains why it hasn't flown much before the transit flight to Duxford.
