NOTAM's suggest night flying Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th March 2013 - This means that the base is generally quiet during the morning with things starting to happen mid-afternoon and evening.
NOTAM's suggest that Coningsby is closed from 16:00 on Thursday 28th March 2013 for the Easter weekend - this means that there will be no flying from this point until next week.
Nobody knows what the volume of flying will be like on Wednesday and Thursday - it's pot luck what you get on general days. There will definitely not be a BBMF PDA next week (although you might see the odd movement).
I hope this covers as much as possible so that the Coningsby thread isn't clogged up by various requests about the coming week. I hope this isn't considered rude but I'm just hoping for less threads being created that ask broadly the same question. I'm also aware of the irony of posting a topic about hoping for less threads about the week ahead!
Hope to see you all soon.
Steven.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: FAO anyone thinking about visiting next week
Good points Steven, If people are coming to the base this week wrap up warm as the wind is very strong and coming from the East,
Looks like runway 07 all week.

Re: FAO anyone thinking about visiting next week
Hi Mike, I think the displays have stopped as the pilot is over seas. With high winds, I don't think the BBMF will be up either. Mind you with snow on the ground and late/night flying planned theres a very good chance of some great sunset shots
Both me and Captain Cranberry plan to be there around lunch time.
Can anyone confirm that the roads are clear??
