HI,

Paying another visit next Wednesday & potentially Thursday.
Do any of the local's have a head's up on if it's day or night flying ?

If it's suspected Nights I can travel down from Newcastle on Wednesday morning, if it's day's I'll book a hotel for Tuesday night so I don;t miss anything.

Thanks in Advance.

To the Reedham Lane Group, I'll pick up some Biccies to repay some of the generous hospitality from last time :P :P :P

NOTAM posted would suggest day's going into early evening.

Ex Cobra Warrior is still going next week, according the the MOD website, activity between 07.00 and 18.00. I would guess alternate day's like this week and the March version https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... t_16-O.pdf

Parent ICAO: EGXC
Start date/time: 19/09/2016 07:00 UTC
End date/time: 23/09/2016 08:00 UTC
Activity period: 0700-0800
Lower height limit: 000
Upper height limit: 999

NO PRACTICE DIVERSIONS, DIVERSION COMMITMENTS OR VISITING AIRCRAFT

ADD 1 Hour for local/BST

Thanks Gary, I've yet to work out where to find NOTAM's

Sounds like travelling down on Tuesday evening to be able to get the best of the action.

I think Gary is saying that the flying is days next week between 9-18.00, so not sure if much will be flying in the evening after 6pm?
Correct me if I'm reading Gary's message wrong?

Yep my thinking as well. Travelling down from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Tuesday night & staying in a hotel nearby instead of driving down Wednesday morning for flying later in the day.

Can't face the Oh my God its early start.

They didn't fly last night because of fog which was Thursday night the 15/09/2016?. So I wasn't sure if they might have a reserve night for this week coming?. Jimbo

Clarifying :-

Cobra Warrior next week is 0700-1800Z - 0800-1900 BST

Coningsby NOTAM from Gary above shows Coningsby not before 0800Z - 0900 BST.

The site I saw the info didn't mention Zulu or BST , just the times.

So they don't have reserve night for night flying anymore then?.

Cobra warrior traffic isn't just from Coningsby.

I thought they had to call the jets all back to Coningsby, Marham & Brize because of fog coming faster then what they thought?.

Final clarifying :-

Cobra Warrior UK next week is 0700-1800Z - 0800-1900BST

Coordinated Universal Time, UTC, is an internationally recognised time system that happens to be centred around Greenwich which is identified as time zone Zulu.

Hence UTC = Zulu = GMT

All aircraft movements world wide are promulgated/posted in UTC, and as we are on BST then we must add 1 hour to those times. Hence 0800UTC = 0800Z = 0900BST.

Coningsby did call back 11 Sqdn Razor and Havoc flights due to fog rolling in, but Marham near me were still flying over here at that time.

The PDF the MOD have released, which I posted above states 0700-1800 is Local time not UTC / ZULU. The MOD / RAF tend to release times in Local time if the release is for the general public

There is a NOTAM out for the 323s on Monday
