CWL24 - Piper PA28 G-GALB

Post by Doughnut » Mon Mar 22, 2021 2:58 pm

Not sure if this is relevant to FC. Seen on ADSB several times CWL24, a RAF Cranwell radio call sign, but plotting as civil Piper PA28 G-GALB, today it is doing circuits at Cranwell, last week it was in and out of RAF Wittering.
Anybody have information on its user and reason to fly as a CWL callsign ?

It's owned by the Gamston Flying School at Gamston, near Retford if that's any help?
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!

I didn't hear it today as he was under Cranwell radar, yesterday he spoke to Waddo and was calling Cranwell 24.
