Re: Cranwell viewing guide.
Dear all can anyone point me to the best spotting locations at Cranwell as I am planning a quick pass on 4th June around 1500 hours what is the busiest time and what aircraft possibly may be seen I am aware of the Grobs and Phenoms and other significant types cheers all Paul
Re: Cranwell viewing guide.
Best and easiest place is location A on this map: https://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.u ... anwell.php the parking is just off the side road and safe to get out and scan around.
Good views across the airfield right next to the centre line for runway 09 with plenty of parking space
Not sure if there's a busy times, normal 'RAF opening hours' to be expected probably quiet on a Friday afternoon. Grob's and Phenom's are the main aircraft.

Re: Cranwell viewing guide.
I agree Point A is the best place to read stuff on the ground and it is ok for photos and plenty of parking
Point M is good if they are landing to the south on the cross runway and there is parking for one or two cars
Don't forget Barkston Heath a few minutes south.

Re: Cranwell viewing guide.
