I’m travelling up on Thursday evening to my hotel near Lincoln and I was wondering if anyone could advise me of the roadworks on the A1434 at North Hykeham. I should be passing through there after 2200 and was wondering if the road is closed and I should take another route. Looking on line, I’ve seen 2 different reports on the roadworks, one says road is closed, the other just says roadworks planned!! Any help is very much appreciated.

I live in Lincoln and have checked , and from Newark to Lincoln the road work/closure is on the southbound carriageway of the A46. Northbound to North hykeham is clear.
I hope this helps.

Does anyone know what the score is for the 02 end regards access and photography? I’ve seen quite a lot of photos that appear to be from that end, but I had read about hay bales and stuff suggesting it was completely out of bounds. The do seem to have used 02 quite a bit in this exercise and I’ve seen quite a lot of distant belly shots taken from the WAVE/A15 end.

I was at this end last week. Be sensible, don't walk on the any crop and don't leave any litter.

Park in the layby.
Walk down the lane to crash gate.
Follow the fence round to the approach

Stand on crops and the farmer sees you he will prosecute.

I saw some shots of an A-4 out of Lakenheath yesterday. Are these(this?) deployed for the duration? Any idea when they're going home if not already? Would love to catch a scooter!

AFAIK the A4 was the same jet that diverted with an 'issue' a few weeks back. It was fixed & then RTB. This is that same jet... but this time it was scheduled into LN & flew-out a day later? Don't think the A4 is based at LN for the Exercise, but would be great if it/they were? Please 'Go ahead & make my Day' somebody?

appeared to be involved, when it went out and back in to Lakenheath yesterday, very similar times to the 2 Alphajets. According to reports, it did the same on Tuesday.

Some points on the night flying next week.

The WAVE will be closed for night flying, so over spill parking only from when they shut, what ever time that may be.
CF-188 sorties are probably going to be the reverse of what they are now - IE a pair late afternoon and a four ship after dark, probably some time around 9pm at a guess.

Wave will be open 8.30 until 4 next week.

Probably miss all the exercise flying closing that early.

Probably best to just go straight to the overspill if you are coming.

Is there any info or rumors about any activity on Friday 22nd?

I have the day off and was hoping to get back over to Waddington to see if anything goes up/leaves?

Nothing is planned to leave on Friday.

Unsure on activity levels, maybe a single sortie for the Hornets at a guess around mid day/early afternoon?
