Small question. Is ZJ693 still outside or now parked inside?

Thanks!
Jeroen
Jeroen,

I can confirm ZJ693 was still outside last Friday. It is easily identifiable as it is the only one retaining 5 Sqn markings on its tail.

On Google maps, if you follow the A15 from The Wave to the junction with the B1178, you will see Range Farm, with an unmarked road leading to the crash gate. From here 693 is the nearest one tail on to you.

G-DAYP (To be ZZ505) Planned for conversion to R2 standard.
G-DAYP is currently at Bournemouth. Saw it emerge from the paintshop in mid March, now all white. No modifications were apparent. I've no record of its arrival.

A footnote on the other civvie one, G-GMAD which has been active a few times since the date quoted on the list......
Departed Bournemouth 10.26 Dec 8 2020, returned??
Departed again 14.48 Mar 14th 2021
Ret 16.44 Mar 19 2021 no evidence of it leaving again and no obvious signs of conversion on any of those occasions. If memory serves, it did at least one trip to Germany and a visit to Hawarden in that time.
Cheers

There are reports that G-GMAD departed Bournemouth to Hawarden on 07 Apr. Coincidentally
G-GMAD was removed from the CAA register on 08 Apr. There were reports of it being seen outside at Hawarden later that week wearing ZZ506.

Hi all, Been to The Wave today 12/5/22 and I was very pleased to see one of the "air seekers" "hate the name" doing rolla's, at least five. I was so excited I forgot to count them or take the serial number. However it had been given an all round coating of what I call "duck egg grey" which is a much better camouflage colour than the raf grey used on the typhoons and old E3's. This grey light green colour used to be used on the wings of the Hawk T1's, Canberra's and I think a few BA Lightenings. Is this the excecutive scheme you refer to ?
Cheers.

I suspect your "air seeker" was P-8 Poseidon ZP809 which performed several circuits today.

RC-135 has four engines - P-8 has two so shouldn't really be confused by an experienced enthusiast. RC also has "white-top" paint scheme.

The exec scheme is only on the Shadows - named that way as it makes them look like executive biz jet type.

 yes it was come to think ! What an embarrassment  As I said so excited to see actual movement ! I've a rivet joint picture from Mildenhall on my wallpaper on my Samsung too :'( still like duck egg grey though. It's five years since I had my eyes tested, perhaps I should go on a GCSEs maths course too ?
Cheers

I believe 666 is back sometime around the end of 22/ beginning of 23, its normally an 18 month conversion I think.
