Ex TALON PYTHON

Post by romeo bravo » Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:16 pm

Looks like Kendrew Barracks is going to be busy.

Local news reports state 10 Apaches and 4 Wildcats, possible Chinooks and French Gazelles later.

Shame I moved 😡

The above link has a shot of 8 Apaches and two wildcats so far at Cottesmore - think they were hunter and gunship formations that departed from Wattisham on 13/11 ( gunship 1-3 , plus gunship 4 later in the day and Hunter 1-3 plus Valiant 61 with Hunter 4.)

Heard a rumour of AlaT helicopters at some point hopefully

Dundee just had Wildcat ZZ403 Valiant 61 for a fuel stop. Working NE of Dundee and will return.

Possibly an Apache to follow.

The museum had some 'interesting' Apache activity on Saturday night around 8.30pm, which was covered on our Twitter Timeline. This included the following description of the activity by CO 3 Regiment Army Air Corps:

"One of our night missions to simulate having to do close support to ground forces at very short notice. We’d only just got back from Scotland! #trainhardfightharder"

Hopefully the activity will soon be logged on the museum website http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/NAM-Low-Fly-Log

One of the Apaches in this 'Hunter' flight is believed to be ZJ199

Seems to have been a success for Ex TP last year.
Anybody know if there is anything else on the horizon?
