There was a C130 of the RNAF & a C17 around on Tuesday and a C17 yesterday with a Chinook in the distance. Not close enough to gather info & a short visit.

There's no "go-round" in a glider.

It was a spectacular lightning show!

The first flash must have scared the b'jesu out of the crew as they banked just after lifting off. It would have made a great image of the aircraft silhouetted against the light.

Better luck tonight. ;)

EDITED C17 landed at RAF Wittering just before 1100hrs local, 20th Feb.

I think you mean 19th Feb - unless you are from the Tardis!

 right month though.

However, please look at ADSB in a little while ;)

Still doing circuits at home after a trip to Cottesmore earlier this evening

Edit, Thursday, 20th.

Exercise Swift Parrot continues today with landings due between 1845 & 2200hrs at RAF Wittering.

Perhaps the first indication of action should be this morning. :S ;)

Have fun as the aircraft thunders overhead
