Anybody know the whereabouts of the following airframes- 111,19,48A,31,69A,08,94,73,77A,105,75A,14A,45A,57A, last seen by me at Cottesmore on 28/10/2010. Apart from 45A (FAA museum), did they all go to the US. Thanks.

Any chance of serial tie ups, may have a better idea of which we are searching for.

I now believe that everything that wasn't nailed down at Cottesmore went to the US, including all airframes on that list except ZD433 45A for the FAA museum Yeovilton. Also ZG477 (red and white tail boss plane) was saved for the RAF museum at Cosford. Both aircraft are on display at those locations.

Good work. All of my aircraft of interest are there except one (theres always one), ZD402/31.

Found ZD402/31 on an excellent site which lists all Harrier airframes (and most other aircraft for that matter) http://www.demobbed.org.uk/aircraft.php?type=1824" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . It seems that all Harriers went to the USMC first and then on to AMARG. No. 31 is still with the Marines.

I was lucky enough to do the AMARG tour - twice in one day - at the end of August. I didn't see one former RAF Harrier; just a singleTAV-8A. So either they have all ben scrapped very quickly, or are well hidden away.

I have had a look at my photos from that area- the tour takes the road between area 23 and area 24 where there are still lots of Phantoms. I can't find any pictures with Harrier airframes in, however they may be visible from the roads outside the base.

I must admit my interest was in the F-4's rather than anything else and its only now, working through the pictures, I'm realising the multitude of types I actually saw. A good excuse to go back a gain I think.

They're all on UKAR - posted at the end of August beginning of September - lots of Pima too.

Fairly new to this forum and never posted here - been with the "opposition" for a good few years.
