Tri-Service Exercise , 9-31 March
In a press release dated 21 February 2013 RAF Leeming are warning local communities of increased aircraft activity ;
"There will be increased aircraft movementfor a Tri-Service Exercise taking place from RAF Leeming during March 2013 . RAF Leeming will be hosting various exercising aircraft and detachments from 9-31 Marchinclusive , including a large scale Tri-Service exercise . The event is designed to exercise Naval , Army and RAF assets (fixed and rotary wing) , in close support of ground troops ; the nature of the exercise is such that military aircraft activity in these areas will increase marginally for short periods . Low flying for short periods will be necessary , along with some exercising at night ."
It goes on to reaffirm the stations commitment to informing the local community of these events and keeping any disturbance to a minimum . As far as I am aware , as yet no details have appeared in the local press ?
Sorry no further details as yet but someone might know where to look for a NOTAM ?
Thanks

Hi not seen any news in the local papers but I was there on the 14th and they were troop dropping on to the air field.
That must of had something to do with the Exercise.

Drove past today at 14.45pm local and observed 2 x Hawks getting airborne followed by 2 x Chinooks, on the ground were Skyvan G-PIGY, 2 x Lynx and 1 Herc engines running.
Sorry no serials, any help with the tie ups would be very much appreciated.
Hope this helps
