Good evening all

Just wondering if the Blackhawks have flown a sortie yet?... I'm travelling back down from Durham tomorrow afternoon and it would be nice to try and catch them.

Any help you can give, would be very much appreciated, with many thanks in advance. :thumb:

They were both out today; a sortie to Spade, and did a few test flights. Therefore, I highly imagine they will be out tomorrow for a visit to the ranges. If they are only staying just over a week then you should be able to catch them most days.

I was down for 8am and saw them on the ramp right of the Hawk line, they were fuelled up but by 11.00 with still no action I headed home, believe I heard them working Newcastle late pm on way back to Leeming though.

Good morning guys

Many thanks indeed for your replies and help, it's very much appreciated :thumb: .

We were up on Hadrians Wall yesterday at Walltown Craggs, being not to far from Spade I thought we may have caught site of them transiting over but I see from Graham's post they sortied later in the day, we had moved on to Vindolanda by 12.30pm...however, we did get a very close encounter with two Tornado GR4's one of which was coded 046.

Thank you once again for your help and hopefully, I will catch the Blackhawks later today on our way back down.

Oh well...never mind...no sign of the Sweedish Black Hawks when I dropoed by this afternoon  .

Arriving at 1.30pm, found half a dozen hawks on the line with CR getting airborne shortly after I arrived.

On the line were CQ, CF, CO, CE, and XX246 and XX350 (special tail fin colours coded D)

Also on the line were 3 x Tucano's ZF269... ZF139...ZF491 which were then joined by ZF339.

Just before I left at 14.30pm ZF491 departed as LIMA 15.

Only other aircraft noted were 3 x Grob Tutour's UF, YA and VV.

I also had a chat with one of the local aviation enthusiasts, sorry I did not catch his name... but it was very nice to meet him, I do beleive he may be a member of FC.

Hope the post is of interest.

Just to add to Monday's Black Hawk movements,we saw one flying in about 12.30ish(driving,so I didn't note the time!),and two departed at 12.56 for Spadeadam.According to our local source they returned about 1830.

Might be best splitting Black Hawk posts in to their own thread ? They're not Joint Warrior related and people looking for Black Hawk info may not look in here.

Positive.
If I know when they arrive I'll let you know in advance. But would put my money on Friday.

Also sensed that, but as I hadn't seen the info here yet, gave it a free pass.
But if additional info is not appreciated I might just keep it for myself. Don't want to bother people who know it all...
