Last frontline squadron left Leconfield in 1965! Not sure you can count SAR flights.

There is of course the scenario whereby the First Minister of Scotland achieves her aim. In which case, perhaps flocks of Typhoons would be migrating south to a new home in splendid Yorkshire. I assume that the relevant parties in MoD have taken this into account in their "what if" planning.

RAF SAR at Leconfield was replaced by civy Rescue 912 at Humberside yonks ago.
