No you can't Steve, I will make do with watching from the fence, I'm sure it will be a brilliant never the less.

I will be by the fence also. Hopefully the weather will be kind to everyone.

Weather forecast has taken a turn for the worse after looking reasonable on previous days bulletins :(
Can't see the Falcons jumping or the Spitfire turning up if the forecasted the wind speeds are to be believed...

Just have to take our chance. What will be will be. I've been spotting 47 years (less a fortnight!) and if I've learned anything it's

A) Be philosophical
B) Expect the unexpected.

To be honest the rain now looks like it may arrive a little later than originally expected (BBC forecast) so fingers crossed. Barriers were put up on the airfield yesterday to fence-in the public and the grass was cut (main gate spruced-up too).

Not quite as billed - the Typhoon and T-6 displays were very nice though.

No Spitfire, no Tornado (yet), no Vulcan, no Sea King, no Chinook, the Falcons hadn't jumped prior to the rain although it has just stopped/brightened-up again so fingers crossed.

Shame about the no shows, the Tyhoon display more than made up for it.

Were the Falcons really scheduled to jump from a Herc? Would have been nice for a flypast once they knew the jump had been scratched!

I think at one point during the morning we reckon we heard a Herc but who it belonged to and what it was doing is another matter. Couldn't see it anyway.......
