Post by zero_gravity » Fri Sep 04, 2020 10:56 am

Can anyone ID a flight into Warton , possbly Bpool , around 1130 today
It had been orbiting Irlam for well over an hour , then peeled off to the coast.

Thanks

Hi,

Could have been G-BOIL had it tracking out of Blackpool heading back to Barton. Its not uncommon for an aircraft to do circuits before heading off. The only other is I-GAUS which appears to be doing survey work.

Hope that helps

Chris

Thanks Chris

I think you could be right about I-GAUS

Your welcome.

I've seen/heard him alot this morning as I work in Trafford Park. Its a shame it isn't something military, now that would be nice for a Friday.

Further investigation indicates it was neither of these two Chris.
This one doesn't track [unless you have Mode A/C.]

Strangely though it was in close proximity to I-GAUS for a while , but is now heading back home towards the Farnborough area.
Maybe it will pop up in a Warton log

Only others I can see are N242CV or G-BGCO. Both these taken from todays Warton movements.

Hi,

G-BSAH (Britten-Norman BN2T Islander/Gama Aviation) ex ZH536 was at Blackpool earlier this morning for re-fuel.
Gather it may have been this, didn't show on ADS-B!

Did anyone get a callsign? Not a stranger to Blackpool in its former guise, a fairly frequent visitor in the past, operating on behalf of Security Services. Thought it might have been from Waddington.

Thanks. Tends to spend hrs loitering around in orbits @ 10000ft maybe lower, with minimum of R/T.

G-BSAH) with callsign "Galaxy23" and dep 1225L (after G-BSAH). They went north.

Indeed , it also seems to be replaced by I-GAUS when departing the area back to Northolt.

I-GAUS on yet another mapping survey I suspect, or something similar.
