Activity?

Post by Woodford » Tue Jan 04, 2011 8:12 pm

Hi guys, just wondering, as ATC seems to be dead all the time, is there ever ANY activity of any kind at Woodford?

I made a very brief visit early yesterday to photograph the Nimrods, and noticed that the runway lights were on.

Hi there

These days Woodford is seeing a little more activity than in the past few years, this is mainly from civil aircraft with pilots who want to get Woodford in there log-books before it shuts!

There are is the very occasional military visitors (2 Apache's seem to spring to mind as the most recent) but again these seem to also be on the similar terms as the above!

In sort there's no pattern to the use of the airfield, it's very much a case of when a pilot fancys a trip out it opens!

Cheers, Stephen

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me which airframes are now parked outside. It would be nice to see them again for the last time.
All the best,
Freeman
It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.

ZJ516 & ZJ518 are the two completed frame, there's also one other that may be c/n PA-13.
