That's a shame that Lossiemouth is losing it's unofficial Gate Guardian - but good to hear it's moving down to Fife.......

Anyone know if the Bucc has made it down to Cupar safely?

Seen a picture on Facebook that could suggest that it has. Don’t know what time it arrived but.

EDIT it arrived just after 18:30pm

I heard to-day the cost of the move was £60000. Getting the wings
to fold also proved difficult. Technical advice was asked from a local
Ex ASF technician who worked on them.

Whoever told you that must have read The Sun's article quoted above!

He was involved on the day. Those sort of details would not have been
available as you say. Was one of my aircraft and it's sad to not see it every day
as I go out for a walk.

I accidentally passed it whilst driving past the filling station on Thursday 9th, if I had known it was there/moving I would have taken a piccie. I live near to Leicester so I have seen the Brunty ones a few years ago, one blew something on start up.

Coincidentally we popped into the Cupar Buccandeer Centre today to look at the old girl, she is still in the car park sat on the (knelt) trailer at the moment, apparently they are eventually going to crane her over into the Deer Park for display - perhaps with cockpit access eventually (according to the Dundee Courier). We could only photograph the port side as they were unloading a truck on the other side.
