I think he's talking about Joint Warrior 23-1 which is due to start tomorrow, maybe some Draken Falcon 20's from Hurn to Prestwick?

I don't think they are expecting much if anything. The exercise is centered on Norway.

That's the new norm. It's been quiet for quite a while.

Certainly changed days at Lossie compared to years of past, just shows that expansion isn’t always the best for us enthusiasts. Anyone know why Lossie is so quiet, with 6 Sqns on base you would expect plenty of base flying and visiting a/c?

There isn't a training sqn there like Coningsby so movements would inevitably be lower. They have had several deployments including the USA so prob only 2 sqns actually flying plus the P8s.

Doesn't help that 6 Sqn are away for Shader, 9 Sqn in Estonia, plus two P8s in Sigonella.

There is an exercise on the Tain ranges coming up 14 March - 6 April. I put on the Military Ranges board index.

Rotary including the U.S. Blackhawks will be based at Cameron Barracks Inverness, until the 6th.
