A shame about the F-18s, would have been good to see them but still looking forward to week 2.

Thats because all the Lossie members are at the field watching them arrive and waiting for the remainder. A pic was posted by onemac on FB of one carrying a HARM missile.

All crews have to attend the briefing on Sunday and as RAF Lossiemouth is notorious for being closed weekends I would imagine tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Cue a bunch of Gripen arriving at Dalcross on Saturday and a bus load of disgruntled Swedes being bussed to Lossie!

Four out of the six (or eight) German Tonkas have arrived. The groundcrew have been here for a while working out of containers (probably about eight of them). The Swedish containers arrived today but little activity around them. 6 Sqn didn't fly until 16:45L and the last one shut down about ten minutes ago. That reminds me - I've got to charge the scanner batteries so I can hear the Belgian Airbus arriving tomorrow ;)

It dropped off 80 POB. Could be Swedes. Should know more next week.

The Swedes arrived as SVF Q19-24. Serials in landing order were 826, 836, 252, 264, 269 and 284. The first two are two-seaters the others single seat.

Small correction fitlike - these are tail numbers, all serials start with 39. 39826/39836 etc.

Correct, Al - didn't know you did serials too.

Get some gin on the go, and some ELO at full blast. :thumb:

Actually Mike you are correct that I don't do serials but I was processing a few pics and noticed some hieroglyphics under the canard

No Gin tonight but as a replacement I have Windswept Wolf & Typhoon - I may even have a couple of bottles of Tornado stashed away ;) Will advise later whether ELO gets hammered.

It was rather good, anyway back on subject ! :)

If the weather is as bad as it is forecast to be, then yes it will affect flying.
